Appearance Svelte and tall, Zola possesses a feline-like grace that suits his finely boned frame. Despite his almost delicate appearance, what Zola lacks in strength he amply compensates in speed. Few wolves are capable of keeping stride with him, much less surpassing him. His short, plush pelt at first appears an insipid grey, but within the interplay of light and shadows the silver appears to constantly change sheen and shade. His eyes are disconcertingly pale, and set beneath finely sculpted brows and above a narrow muzzle. Though his appearance is undeniably bizarre, he does command an exotic beauty. AND YET IT ISN'T A SIN TO KILL THOSE YOU LOVE Power Type Dreams/Interpretation Power Branch Dream Manipulation Personality Zola greatest gift and greatest flaw is his cleverness, closely followed by his wit. This dangerous combination has served to get him into trouble as often as it has gotten him out of it. His confidence is considerable—some may go as far to dub him arrogant, but he is actually well acquainted with his flaws. Though self-serving, he truly values the company of others, and is a true and loyal friend to the few he esteems. Zola’s dream manipulation provides him with a unique insight into the greatest ambitions and deepest fears of those around him. His knowledge of others’ secrets has made him rather empathetic, and strangely charismatic. Though primarily self-serving, Zola will gladly offer a few words or acts of assistance for those he feels amiable towards. Conversely, he is not above punishing those he finds deserving of punishment. Stupidity, ignorance, and cruelty are three traits he will not tolerate, particularly among leaders. Zola finds humor in all situations, and is not afraid to speak his mind, even if it provokes those he speaks to. He is the sort of brute who is either loved or hated by all who meet him. Zora, sister, elsewhere. Regrets In hindsight, he wishes he had the courage to stay near his sister. Secret Ambitions Despite his rouge ways, and dislike of authority figures, Zola’s greatest ambition in life is to live in a pack under a leader who has garnered his respect and friendship. He wouldn’t say no to a pretty she-wolf at his side either. History Zola was one of two pups from his Alpha parents’ second litter. He and his sister Zora were firm friends throughout their youth, and when the time came for the two to find their own place in the world, they left together. Eventually, they came upon a budding pack led by a brute called Sariel. Sariel and Zora quickly fell for each other, and soon she became Alphess. For one year, all was well in the small pack. That is, until a power-hungry rouge stole across the borders one night with several of his followers and murdered Sariel. The rouge called himself Titus, and crowned himself Alpha. He gave leave for all of Sariel’s followers to abandon their home without punishment if they wished—except for Zora, who he decided would continue to act as Alphess, and his mate. Zola, unwilling to leave his sister, along with a few of the loyalist members, remained. But happiness was no more. Titus possessed a cruel and jealous nature, and would often take great pleasure from torturing wolf and beast alike. There was no wolf he loved to taunt more than Zora. Once, during the mating season, Zola saw Titus try to take Zora by force. The terrible and dark fury that had built in Zola’s heart for months burned. He leapt at Titus, trying to tear throat, but the larger and stronger brute ripped Zola from ribcage to groin with his claws. Zola realized who would have to defeat Titus through different means. For as long as he could remember, Zola knew the dreams of those around him. The power was not something he questioned—it was merely a part of who he was. However, Zola began to give particular attention to Titus’s dreams, especially his nightmares. After days of listening, Zola realized that Titus’s deepest fear was ghosts, particularly the ghosts of those he had killed. One night, instead of merely listening to the savage Alpha’s dreams, Zola slipped into the dream itself. In dreamtime, he whispered to Titus that Sariel was coming back for him. Night after night, he repeated the same words to Titus. Eventually, the brute became a timid shadow of his former self until one morning, the pack hunters discovered that Titus had thrown himself off a cliff in the night, and perished of a broken neck. The pack was Zora’s once again. Though she knew of her brother’s plot, having a touch of the dream magic herself, the other wolves did not. However, they strongly suspected that Zola had played a part in Titus’s death. Exhausted by the rumors, and knowing he was no longer welcome by any but his sister. Zola left his sister’s pack in search of another.
