The sillohette of the man made castle that was crumbling more and more with the passing years could be seen on the horizon against the fading evening sun. A she wolf's light blue eyes looked towards the castle, judging the distance, before glancing around her to be sure she was still alone. Her ears pricked just to back up the fact that she was alone. Her snow white paws lifted off the ground as she headed towards the castle, curious to check it out. She wasn't normally one to go into a crumbling and possibly dangerous castle by herself at dusk but she was curious and as much as she hated to admit it, she really wanted to see what it was like up there.
The setting sun cast shadows of orange and red across the plains that surrounded the castle. With each paw step she got closer and closer to the structure. As she got closer and could make out the crumbled walls and fallen in ceilings, she couldn't help but notice that the building looked like a skeleton. The skeleton of something that was once an incredible sight but was now nothing more than a place for weeds to grow.
Finally her paws brought her to the base of the wide open entrance and she paused for a moment before lifting a paw and slowly climbing up the three tall steps before stopping on the top step and glancing over her shoulder once more before going inside the belly of the crumbling beast of a building.

Forgive Me I'm Trying To Find My Calling Shadows melded into the tawny brilliance of his pelt. In the dank blackness of the far back ruins his body lay hidden in a heap of gold against the stone. Monte had long sense been asleep, dreaming about a better warmer world. Wakes of warmth passed through him, sleeping so soundly on the cobbles. He had come in a daze, half unconscious in his tired stumbling. Montenegro had always found it hard to sleep amongst others, and his pack held no higher hopes for his poor dreamless troubled nights
These cool crumbling halls held his relief in their grasp. Stone littered stone and he had crawled amongst them to reach his bed hidden away in the recesses. Nightmares didn't infest his dreams and with a silent unconscious whine he glorified in that simple fact. It would seem his mind had decided to give him a break, for once. Oh happy day. Monte's body curled tightly against itself, tail tucked over snout.
What chill the ground provided was ignored, beaten back by the heat from his body. From his pulsing heart. Monte sighed into the cold, breath billowing up despite the spring heat. Sharp gem green eyes slitting open the man paused, mouth half open in a yawn. What was that? A noise just out of his total awareness. A danger. His head swung up, small wiry body clutching itself to the stones. So much for a restful nights sleep.

Light blue eyes scanned the shadowed interior of the building she was now in. Shafts of moonlight now filtered in through the gaping holes in the roof of the castle and she was glad for the light. Even though her vision was better in the dark, the darkness in here seemed to be almost unable to be penetrated in places. Making her way cautiously through the building, she was starting to have second thoughts about going there in the first place. So many creatures could be hiding in the darkness that she would have no chance of escape.
Her muscles were tensed as she continued on, pushing her fear down and taking a calming breath before raising her nose to the air. The scent was sort of musky and it was hard to distinguish particular scents in the building. Giving up on her nose, she pricked her ears before swiveling them in all different directions, listening for even the slightest of noises. A soft shuffling sound caught her attention and she jerked her head in the direction it came from.
Her normally bright blue eyes were now a light honey brown that was slowly fading into a deep brown and eventually a black color. Her powers were hard for her to control and usually her emotions were what made her eye color change. She could change other colors of her body as well but she liked her snow white coat which she realized probably made her stand out in the dim lighting.
Finally she was able to caught sight of the source of the noise. It appeared to be another wolf and her nose was now able to make out the scent of a male wolf curled up as if he were about to go to sleep or had been sleeping. She stopped in her tracks and remained still, knowing that he had to have seen her by now. If she would have known where he was she might have shifted her coat color and made it darker so that it wasn't as easy to see her in the darkness but it was too late for that now. Instead she felt her muscles tense once more as she waited, standing facing the male as she waited to see what his reaction to her presence would be.

Forgive Me I'm Trying To Find My Calling The darkness seemed to grow thicker as he waiting, breath heavy. The deepest corners took on an almost ink swathed appearance, and in his anxiousness Montenegro pulled back into a smaller ball. Adults don't admit when their scared, or do as children do when they are. In the darkness they do as children do and ball up, hide under the covers. Hope in vein that whatever is coming for them can't see them under the downy shield of their blanket.
Reality takes no hold on fear.
Tension ran, coiled and electric in his muscles. Out of the gloom, the gray stone walls catching the moonlight and refracting it across the white body came a she-wolf. Most males would have relaxed on the spot. Oh its just a little girl! Well some girls liked to play with guns. Montenegro narrowed his eyes, the bright green iris surly reflected blaring yellow-green back at the girl. There was enough light to do that much.
Slowly peeling himself out of his ball the man stood, eyes lowered to avoid challenging whoever that was into a fight. Frankly a war between stone walls sounded like a nice crushing by said crumbling walls waiting to happen. Tawny fur lacquer in the moonlight the man scuttled sideways, green eyes flashing up to the woman. "Who are you?" He demanded words seemingly unimpressed. But then Monte had always been a good liar.

When Luna's light blue eyes caught sight of the male who had come out of the place he was curled up in, she adjusted her stance, ready for anything. She was a bit cautious of this male as he seemed a bit annoyed that she was intruding on him and she couldn't blame him, he had probably been trying to sleep before she had stomped in. But he would just have to get over it. She was here now and he might as well let her pass without causing any trouble because Luna had been taught at a young age how to defend herself and did a pretty good job of it too. When his voice finally sounded, it echoed off of the crumbling stone walls and her ears flicked backwards for a moment before pointing towards him once more. Lifting her chin and puffing out her chest so she looked bigger than she was, her icy blue eyes looked him straight on before she spoke.
"My name is Luna. Who are you." she retorted, the same unimpressed tone in her voice. Her white fur seemed to be illuminated in the darkness as the moonlight filtered in through a crack in the ceiling. While her eyes were on the verge of fading into a light brown and would get darker as her anxiety grew but she held her emotions in check and kept her true emotions out of her voice and off of her face as she waited for him to reply. She didn't use her normal respect manners as she would with someone that had been polite. He didn't seem to deserve them. At least not right now. She remained standing tall, her eyes locked on him and her muscles tensed a bit.

Forgive Me I'm Trying To Find My Calling His body stiffened with her words, eyes flaring. Danger. The word ran red across the black plane of his thoughts. She was puffing up in preparation for a fight, whether it be in response to him or not he took a furious step backward and responded by puffing up himself. Hackles lifting and trembling in a half fearful half anxious manor, Montego let his ears come forward to hear. The attacker who did not attack was named Luna.
That was too innocent a name for a woman who had apparently come to jump him in his sleep. But that was stupid. Montenegro shook his head, sharp green eyes narrowing. She had simply been walking and he was being a paranoid bastard but he wouldn't drop the charade. What if she did want to jump him? And her eyes were changing color. Why were her eyes changing colors? The man stiffened his legs, fighting the urge to step towards her.
He wanted a better look, but was not at all interested in placing himself in strike range. His own response was sharp, militaristic in its cropped edges. "Montenegro, Ma'am." The title was tacked on as an after thought. He was being quiet rude to the woman. After all she probably had just came tumbling in here and not known of his presence. Relaxing only enough to tilt his head the tawny creature took a new approach to the stiff situation. "Why are you here?" Montenegro's words took on a less affronted touch, curiosity and worry at odds with one another in his tone.

When the male wolf became standoffish as well and his hackles raised worry and anger began to pulse through her body and her eyes began to shift into a light red almost pink color, bordering on the bright red that showed her anger. She took a thought to think this through, realizing that she was in no position to fight a male of his size and stature. She calmed herself, taking a few breaths, realizing he probably thought she was going to try and attack him while he was sleeping or something. He had the right to be suspicious of her. After all, this place didn't look like it got many visitors after all. It didn't take long before she let her fur lay flat along her femine body and cleared her throat, her eyes once again changing back to their normal light blue color, making them glow in the darkness.
When the male spoke his name, she was able to muster a small smile and began to think over her words, knowing that she should probably apologize for barging in when he was probably trying to sleep.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Montenegro. I do apologize if I have disturbed your slumber. I only came here because I heard about the castle and was curious to see it for myself. I was unaware anyone would be here." she replied, her voice apologetic and soft as she tried to bring down the somewhat escalated situation she had caused.
In her defense, a she wolf had to be on her guard at all times. Especially one like her that was traveling on her own. Being a loner definitely wasn't the safest choice for her but it was the only one she had right now and she would just have to live with it.

Forgive Me I'm Trying To Find My Calling Looking into her words and finding no lie the man relaxed completely, though his eyes still flickered with uncertainty. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Luna" Montenegro lifted his head, green eyes careful as he moved forward. Legs dragging slightly, the boy shifted out of the shadows, or at leas closer so he could see the white girl and she could see him.
Slender feminine body slightly at odds with the surrounding roughness of the ruins the man looked incredibly awkward. He looked like a girl. It was infuriating. Maybe he was just being self-conscious but thinking about what Luna saw in him made his skin crawl with disgust. "I'd already slept." He assured her, sharp green eyes slipping up to look at her with weak welcome. "You didn't interrupt anything"
The man straightened a little, gray fur ruffling against a slight wind pressing through the stones. Monte turned his head slightly, eyes twisting across the dark structure. Luna was right, this place was an interesting little gem in and of itself. His eyes turned back to the woman in question, shoulders shrugging. "Its nice to come and be alone sometimes" he conceded, turning his eyes away out of embarrassment. What kind of pack wolf wanted to be alone?
His head lifted back again, twisting slightly. He was a man wandering alone in the ruins, that was one thing. Monte had never really thought of women as lower or weaker, he after all was rail rod thin and just as weak as any girl. The thought of her anxiety upon their tense meeting made him wonder though, no one wanted to rape him. Silver ears perked the man sat down slowly, limbs folding underneath him. "Did you come very far to get here?"

He was a rather handsome fellow with a beautiful mixture of browns and golds all stretched out along his pelt. His eyes were a bright green and while he wasn't extremely muscled and thick like some males, he still looked fit and lean. She guessed he was fast by the look of his long, strong legs and probably had a high level of stamina to go with it.
"Well I am very pleased to hear I didn't disturb your sleep. And yes it is good to be alone every now and then. I am a loner so I know the definition of being alone." she answered, her light blue gaze shifted down to look at the stone floor when sadness began to make it's way into her eyes. Lately, she had met so many wonderful wolves that were part of packs and she was really starting to re evaluate the reason she disliked packs so much. It wasn't a very good reason to stay living as a loner all her life. Just because one scraggly pack and come and killed her parents and taken her pack mates captive and she was the only one that had escaped didn't mean every pack was that way. Maybe she should give pack life another chance. She was starting to greatly miss the companionship other wolves could offer her.
"Not too far, I was nearby but I was afraid I wouldn't find it before the sun set." she answered, her eyes glancing up at one of the holes in the roof where the fading orange sunset could be seen.
