Or, moreso, many shades of brown. His back paws are a light shade of tan, but his forepaws are actually a yellowish-sandy color. His hackles are that same yellow-sand color in the back, and then his thigh area is that same light shade of tan on my back paws. Atlas' front legs are that light tan color. They have tiger-like stripes, 3 of them, that curve around half of the leg, and stop midway. That tan color then breaks into a darker, more solid shade of brown, which is the base color for the rest of his back. There is a dark patch of mocha-colored fur right below his shoulders. Atlas' stomach is a mustard hue and that continues between his front legs up onto his chest and face, and backward, onto the bottom of his tail. On his rump, he has 3 stripes, like on his front legs, except more of a black [or very dark brown] hue. That same color is right under his eyebrows, and is also the base color for his eyes. Anyways, the tip of his tail is the same mocha color as the tips of his ears, which are a dark mocha. He has big, pointy tan ears, one flopped over on its side. Atlas is somewhat muscular, and has the legs of a runner. He would rather run from a fight than actually fight, which is one of his better qualities. I CLOSE MY EYES. I LOOK AWAY Power Type Dream Manipulation Power Branch Enter someone else's dream Personality [written in 1st person] Well, let me try to explain myself. I'm not an aggressive wolf. I like to solve conflict without hurting anyone in the process. I like to think things through before I go through with it, or before I speak because the last thing I want to do is hurt someone's feelings. I'm very protective over my family, too. It makes sense, though. And I'm not too protective, just cautious. I do get along well with strangers. I'm not snappy when I'm agitated, but I guess I do flick my ears and my tail to show that I'm becoming restless. I'm patient. Well, I have to be, because of my attentiveness toward Rhea. Because of her brightly-hued fur, I have to attend to her needs, such as food, and I have to protect her as well, so I'm kinda like a caretaker - bodyguard. Rhea isn't helpless, she just needs my help. I'm a great listener. I'm actually commended on it at times, and my keen sense of hearing comes and goes with my need to hear, and my need to listen. Yes, there is a distinction. -- Rhea definately has made this impact on me because of her quiet demeanour, and her subtleness (unless you include those looks that she gives). I think of it as... Yin and Yang. I'm more outgoing, and that makes up for her quiet voice. I take her as my responsibility, as my parents have put onto me, and even though we are the same age (I was born before her, though, so I am technically older), I take care of her. So, I somewhat have a nurturing side to my personality. I want to help and support others. I don't really have a single mean bone in my body, unless you include protection for Rhea, which, in my case, I take seriously. I would probably risk my life to save her, and I hope she would do the same for me. I would hope that she would. Another situation where I would become defensive is for my Alphess, and for my pack, but my total loyalty will always lie with my sister. Usually Rhea and I do very well with other wolves, although Rhea can be a bit touchy at first meeting a strange or new wolf to us. I tend to be more sociable with other wolves, and I try to include my sister whenever I can, and whenever I know that she is comfortable with it. Usually, though, Rhea and I are inseparable, and we stick to eachother, except when we request that privacy from eachother. Yes, we bicker and fight like siblings do on occasion, but it's never gotten to the point of desperation or violence between us. I could never hate my sister, especially after the loss of our father. I would never hurt her that way. [Rhea will come into play a little later] Preferences Atlas likes : snow, rain, warmth, freedom, traveling, running, hunting Dislikes : fighting, thunderstorms Strengths/Weaknesses Atlas' strong suit is running. He has the stamina and muscled legs to help him along the way, although he tends to want to run more than fight. He would if he needed to, but prefered not to unless completely dire. He also has a thing in his talk. He's quite the charmer, and he seems to weasel out of things much too easily [on occassion]. THAT'S JUST BECAUSE I'M NOT OKAY Family Rhea Regrets Letting her run off on her own... Secret Ambitions To find a mate and raise a family History Atlas grew up with an imense love for his family. His father and mother took care of them as any parents would, and he soon grew up into a charming whelp. His father eventually taught him how to hunt, and fight, and protect Rhea, whom was very important to the both of them. Of course, Atlas found out at a young age that not every wolf grew up in a fairytale. His father was killed at Atlas' young age and his mother died soon after in grief. Atlas found that Rhea was his responsibility, and it was his duty to care for his sister. And so, they traveled together and grew up into adulthood. You see, his father died risking his life for his pups. Danile [their father] had decided to take his youthful kin on a hunt, as he usually did. Nothing seemed to be going wrong, and nothing seemed like it would go wrong. Well, bears had been becoming more and more common, so their father made sure to be watching for movement. Rhea, as usual, was aimlessly wandering away from her father and her brother Atlas. And that's when a hungry bear showed up. Danile had seen this almost abruptly after Rhea was swiped at and thrown toward him. He stepped into her path and cushioned her fall, and then charged after the bear. Danile had died that day after being pulled off of a cliff with the same bear he had been protecting his puplings from. From that day, Atlas had sworn to protect Rhea from death. His father's heroism would not go down in vain. Atlas had lost Rhea two years later. He is still searching for her.
