She giggled a bit when he used the word tease because it seemed so out of context in his sentence and yet it was the word that best described it. A smile was still on her face as he nudged her gently with his nose and she looked up at him with her light blue eyes.
"You must get tired of so many wolves wanting to be near you all the time because of your power." she answered, giving him a wink. Her fluffy white tail swept around behind her as she tilted her head, her light eyes taking in his expression as she waited for his response. Surely some wolves were power hungry and would always want to keep him around because they wanted that boost he could offer them. The thought of poor Felkin being used in such a way saddened her a bit but she didn't let it reach her features because it didn't seem like that was the case. He seemed rather happy and surely he couldn't be that happy with some power hungry wolf demanding him to stay at his side so that he could use Felkin's power for his own benefit.
It was strange though because she found that she didn't want to leave his side, not because of the power he could give her but because he was a joy to talk to and she had more fun with him than she had in a long time. She didn't want to leave him yet. Would she ever see him again when they did part ways? There was no real way of telling except waiting to see what happened. Luna figured if they were meant to see each other again then fate or destiny, whichever one, would bring them together once more. The thought warmed her heart but she pulled herself out of her thoughts and shifted her attention back to him.

The sound of her giggling warmed his insides, and Felkins tail wagged feverishly in response. His smile was so pure, so genuine that it was obvious how much this wolf was beginning to mean to him. He felt like he had known her for weeks, not minutes. Perhaps in this small white femme he would find his first true, deep friendship ion this area. The thought brought an even wider grin to his face. He looked into her eyes, red meeting blue, a kind of connection sparking between them. This was turning intot he kind of friendship that could make a difference in the world.
A snort escaped his maw, an especially sarcastic sound for the level-headed wolf. “It is a sad story when someone like myself is sick of company.” He said, an air of jaded laughter in his tone. “It is true that it has happened before. I can offer something no less than an addiction to the power hungry.” He admitted, shrugging his shoulders as if this abuse of his power did not bother him, despite how much it actually did. “Fortunately, I have left all of that behind me. There was a wolf in my old pack who would drag me on ever hunt, every journey. I did not mind it at first, I do enjoy being needed.” His eyes twinkled for a moment, then grew dark as his brows knitted above them. “There is an old saying amongst the two-leggeds.” Felkin said, his voice suddenly unusually grave. “One of their great minds once spoke its truths.” He turned to her, looking deep into her eyes, an usual gesture for the overly-polite wolf. “Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
As he watched her, listening intently to his words, her small foxface alight with happiness and interest, he felt a single pang of worry deep in his heart, sitting sharp against the contentment and warmth already surrounding his soul. He had not yet asked her which park she belonged to. If she was not in Martyr, would something come between them? Would they be able to spend time together in the future? Perhaps, in a fateful situation which had occurred to him in his old pack by varying degrees, her jealous mate would hunt him down and tell him to leave her outside of his life, pr else face attack. There were many negative possibilities, but he could think of so many more positive.

Her light blue eyes sparkled as she looked into his red ones and she couldn't help but feel completely and utterly at ease with this wolf. It was a strange feeling for her to trust another so quickly and so easily. For earning her trust was usually not an easy task and yet Felkin made it seem like they had been born into life together and had always been together. She had to say, she definitely liked having someone close to her. It had been a long time since she had let herself trust another the way she now found that she trusted Felkin. And she hoped that she would always get to see him as often as possible.
When seriousness crossed the normally bubbly male's face, her own smile fell and she listened intently to his words, sadness filling her heart at his words. She felt sympathy for him because of what had happened to him in his past. His words made sense and she understood them. His words made her want to tell him that he should always be needed. When he found a mate, she should love him unconditionally and always show him that she cared for him because that was definitely something a wolf as sweet and caring and easy going as Felkin needed and deserved.
When he was finished speaking, he still seemed a bit saddened and his words had made her feel for him as well. Taking the few small steps needed to fill the space between them, the small white fox made her way to Felkin's shoulder before nuzzling up against his neck. A smile lit her face and she looked up at him with her light blue eyes, her fluffy white little body pressed against him as she tried to comfort him the best she could. She wanted him to know that she would always be there for him no matter what. And that nothing to keep her from her new best friend.

Felkin was brought out of his slightly depressive thought patters with a sharp but gentle muzzle deep in the fur of his neck, he turned to look into Lunas face, his sudden smile radiating as much as her own. He felt the same ease she was feeling, and the gratitude of having been lucky enough to meet her. “You.” He said simply, the words like a blessing. The warmth of her now-tiny body pressed against him felt nice, and a strange-purr like noise rumbled soft and low in his chest. He yawned, stretching his face muscles as he relaxed, then continued his tail.
“In the end, the wolf started refusing to let others spend time with me. It was like a cruel, horrible version of love.” His tone was even now, her kindness and numbed the resentment out of his voice and soul. “My father had to banish him from being able to be near me. The wolf was one of our oldest and most powerful warriors and hunters. My father could not punish him fully, he was too necessary. SO instead he forcefully weaned him, like a mother who is sick of suckling a greedy pup.” He chuckled a bit, shaking his head. “I am told his temper was impressive. In the end, the withdrawal cured him of his addiction, but he never spoke another word to me, whether from anger or fear, I do not to this day know.” His eyes grew glassy with past memories, but for once a smile remained on his face. He felt at peace so long as she was near.

The world was tough as it was and she couldn't even count all of the wolves she had met that had terribly sad histories. It was a refreshing change to hear that Felkin wasn't bothered by the greedy wolf forever.
When his story was done, Luna settled back down beside him, her smaller frame nuzzle against his shoulder and neck as she let out a peaceful sigh. It was a wonderful feeling to be at ease with another wolf. Being able to close your eyes and sleep deeply without having to keep your ears pricked for danger, knowing that the wolf beside you would watch out for you and you would watch out for them. Tilting her head so she could see his face once more, a smile was still on her face.
"Dear Felkin, how I wish you were a loner as well so we could travel the realm and always be together." she murmured loud enough for him to hear. A wistfulness to her voice as she gazed out into spacing, picturing the fun and adventures they could have.
